Creamy Pea Soup
with Kiri ®

Squares of creamy Kiri add a richness to this flavorful pea soup, seasoned with onion, garlic, black pepper and a little salt. A garnish of fresh mint leaves adds a last lovely touch.

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 8 Kiri squares
  • 450 grams frozen peas
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 550 milliliter hot vegetable or chicken stock
  • Black pepper, freshly ground, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

STEP 1
Heat the oil in saucepan and fry the onion and garlic until the onions are softened.

STEP 2
Add the peas with the stock and simmer for fifteen minutes until the peas become soft.
 
STEP 3
Add the Kiri squares, salt and pepper.
 
STEP 4
Remove from heat and puree using a hand blender until smooth.
 
Garnish

Garnish with mint leaves.
